Blue Calcite | Sourced in Marfa, Texas

A raw block of blue calcite, unpolished and uncut. The color a soft powder blue shot through with chalky white where the crystal faces step and stack.

Calcite cleaves in rhombs, so the surface breaks into a mosaic of flat planes at odd angles, each one catching light differently as you turn it. Milky in some passes, nearly translucent in others. Left exactly as it came out of the ground.

7 inches wide, 5 deep, 5 tall. Sits solid on a shelf, a desk, or a stack of books.
