Folding Fan | Bamboo & Silk | Sourced in Hong Kong

A folding fan with a silk leaf, hand-painted at the upper left with a spray of pink cosmos on trailing green stems. The rest of the leaf is left open, so the painting reads as a single gesture across a wide field of cream.

The bamboo ribs run the full depth of the fan in warm honey, pierced along their length with a repeating crescent cutout that opens into a fine arc when the fan is spread. Dark lacquered guards close over the whole thing, and a thin red line borders the top edge.

14 inches across when open, 8 inches deep. Folds flat, or displays open on a stand.
