A raw block of rose quartz, unpolished and uncut, the pink running from soft blush at the crown to near-white where the crystal thins. Iron staining warms one edge to rust.

The break faces catch light in flat planes, the way quartz cleaves rather than crumbles. Milky in some passes, nearly translucent in others, depending on how you turn it. Left exactly as it came out of the ground. Sourced from a rock shop in Marfa, Texas.
